The Kitara language, commonly known as Runyakitara, is a recent standardized form (dating to the early 1990s) of four linguistically closely related languages of western Uganda:
It might be considered a koine of the abovementioned tongues.
The Google interface has been translated into Kitara in February 2010 by the Faculty of Computing and IT, Makerere University. This project was coordinated by Ms. Florence Tushabe together with a team of 15 others.
